I am a composer, arranger and educator based in Birmingham, UK, working with a wide range of musicians in various genres.
I am a Teaching Fellow in Professional Development and Outreach at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. I am also Project Manager and Orchestral director for In Harmony Telford & Stoke, working mainly out of Old Park Primary School in Telford.
I am passionate about widening participation and access to music education alongside upskilling the next generation of professional musicians to become socially aware, community focused music educators.
I compose and arrange music for a wide range of clients, from professionals to amateurs, from young to old. I specialise in creating differentiated parts to enable musicians of any ability to access making music together. Previous clients include City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra; Birmingham Contemporary Music Group; The People’s Orchestra; and The Barber Institute of Fine Arts. I have also worked with English Heritage; Ironbridge Gorge Museums Trust; and Elgar Birthplace Museum.
Until Summer 2015 I was Learning Co-ordinator for Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
